Terpenes, essential oils found in cannabis which give the plant its unique aroma, are particularly compelling. A study published in the British Journal of Pharmacology states that terpenoids are “pharmacologically versatile: they are lipophilic, interact with cell membranes, neuronal and muscle ion channels, neurotransmitter receptors, G-protein coupled (odorant) receptors, second messenger systems and enzymes.”

GEORGE “LITTLE CHOCOLATE” DIXON, FIRST BLACK WORLD BOXING CHAMP
Most people who enjoy watching boxing, know that a fighter named Joe Gans was the first-African-American to win a world boxing championship. However, many people do not know that a Canadian fighter named #George Dixon (#Little Chocolate) was the first Black world boxing champion and reportedly the first African-American champion in any major sport. He was considered by many to be the greatest fighter of the 19th century. The newspapers during his day hailed him as “The greatest of them all. Dixon was a quick puncher with a great left jab, his best punch was a strong right cross to the chin. His favorite combination was a left jab to the face, followed by a right to the body and a jab back to the face. His famous fighting method included jabbing, feinting and rushing an opponent to the ropes where he would work the body. He was also known for his defensive ability to dodge, evade, and block his opponent’s blows.
