  1. The origin of Ethiopian writing is in Egypt. From todays perspective what we can Eritrea is the region where the Habesha script called fidel emerged.
    Fidel represents a simplification of the hieroglyphs and can be used to pronounce foremost the Tigrigna language.
    The oldest evidence of Habesha script also known as fidel can be found in Egypt. The modern version which is still in use today can be found in Akele Guzay Eritrea.
    Interestingly Akele Guzay is also the place where the Ancient Egyptians came from.
