One American was killed in the blasts, said Joann Lockard, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Embassy in Kampala.
Kampala’s police chief said he believed Somalia’s most feared militant group, al-Shabab, could be responsible for the attack. Al-Shabab is known to have links with al-Qaida, and it counts militant veterans from the Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan conflicts among its ranks….

Ishaq Whilst I agree with your postulation that some african regions have islamic and christian influence I disagree with you that this foreign influence came without strife, domination and destruction of african cultures, I further disagree that Islamic or christian values charecterise african identities and by way of example the fact that Iraq, Afganistan Falklands are under european colonisation it cannot be generally said Irag and afganistan have assumed an european identity, similarly Latinos in Falklands cannot be said to have taken british identity. Therefore your postulation that africa has assumed islamic and christian identies is false and patronising at best. If you care to study african religion and its spread you will be surprised that majority of africans, the genuine africans, still practice their native religion, african orthodox faith that is as old as mankind itself, thus I find no facts supporting your assumption that majority of africa is muslim. The general assuption that african kingship is a dictatorship is wrong and this is a clear manifestation of misunderstanding of african values and conflating them with invading islamic despotism. I now repeat it that in african context ‘the king is king because of the will of the people’ as such there is no ancient african practice supporting the conclusion that african kingship and empires were despotic. In conclusion democracy is not a european product but an original african thought and practice, a cultural values that were destroyed and expunged by many years of islamic colonisation and in north africa. You cannot compare recent
intrusions such as the British in the Falklands or the
Europeans in Iraq and Afghanistan with the advent
of Christianity and Islam in Africa. There are communities
of Muslims and Christians in Africa that have been practicing
these religions for well over a thousand years. The Mandingoes
who are the descendants of the Black Moors have a deep rooted
Islamic identity. In fact the Islam of the Mandingoes can be equated
with the Islam of the Afghans. The Afghans had pre-Islamic religions
and traditions some of which are still maintained by the small Kalashi
remnant in Pakistan that worship the tree spirits of Baloman. Just as
Islam has now become synonymous with the Afghan identity it has also
become synonymous with the Mandingo identity. Just ask the great Keita
families and the descendants of Mansa Musa.
The Coptic Church in Ethiopia has ancient traditions that have become
synonymous with the Solomonic identity. Just ask the descendants of
Menelik. I will give you 50 years to see if you can tear the Mandingoes
away from Islam or the Amharas away from the Ethiopian Coptic Church.
You have a utopian vision that is not consistent with reality. Identities
evolve through experience and infusions that create new realities.Those
who cannot evolve or adjust their strategies to accomodate the inevitable
will be left to dwell in memories or dillusions of the past. They will collide

Do we speak of the Afghans as Arabiced Afghans because they are practicing
Islam? No! The Islamic identity has now transcended that and is part of the
independent Afghan identity. 2,000 years is a longtime for an identity to
permanently transition through experience and infusion. The African-American
identity is unique and has manifested according to experience. In less than
500 years they have developed an independent rich and vibrant culture
which includes the ” Black Churches”. It also includes an independent
Islamic identity founded in the Nation of Islam. The Nation of Islam was
started by a Turkic-Arab named Fard Muhammad. However it was
developed by Elijah Muhammad,Malcolm X and Louis Farrakhan and is
an integral part of the African-American identity.
Judaized Agau tribesmen of Ethiopia became known as the Falashas or
Ethiopian Jews. There religious identity separated them from not only other
Ethiopians but fellow Agau tribesmen as well. They now live in Israel with
other members of the Jewish faith and at times they die in the Zionist army.
Whether we approve or not with the Falasha religious identity it is a reality
that cannot be ignored. You will never do away with tribalism and religious
identification in Africa. Your mission of unification would best be served by
helping Africans to accept their differences and embrace their similarities.
The minute you advocate action against religious or tribal identities you
lose your unbiased and impartial status. Without this status it will be
impossible for you to promote unity in Africa.

As an Ethiopian we have peacefull Ethiopian muslims who identify themselves as Ethiopians first then tribe religion etc. One thing about Ethiopian muslims they never look up to arabs and arabs have been our enemies not because of racial reasons. In other words Alshabaab terrorists that spilt our blood in Somalia and Uganda uses foreign fighters to intimidate somalians into killing their own. Terrorists use mainly outside fighters in somalia to spread islam by hook or by a crook and they insult africans into submission. I am confident that many african leaders will openly support the mission of African Union to send more warriors to somalia to engage those foreign islamic extremists and rid the land of the scurges otherwise no one will be safe from Cape to Kamet. Ethiopian Muslims and Christians have always
maintained a sense of pride and independence. Just
as Ethiopian Muslims have never taken up to Arabs,
Ethiopian Christians have likewise resisted European
Christian colonization. It is the European Christian &
Jewish propagandists that attempt to portray the Arabic
speaking Nubians as NOT being BLACK. This
was an attempt to gain support for the European Christian
backed South(Darfur) by falsely spreading propaganda
of a racial war between “White Arabs” and “Black Africans”.
Fortunately Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam carried
out their very own independent fact finding mission which
debunked the propaganda of a “Race War”. Returning from
Sudan the Nation of Islam was able to confidently reveal
the fact that the President of Sudan Omar Bashir is actually
a BLACK MAN. I personally remember attending a European
Christian and Jewish backed Darfur propaganda lecture which
attempted to promote the Race War propaganda before a naive
American audience. A young Southern Sudanese Dinka Christian
refugee who was sponsored by a European Christian Charity
organization sat at a table surrounded by his European Christian
and Jewish advisors. He was carefully answering questions
during a question and answer session which immediately followed
his presentation. I took the forum and began to question the entire
propaganda of a Racial War and Genocide based on the fact that the
Northern Nubian Muslims were in fact Black themselves. He at first
attempted to continue defending the propaganda of the supposed
White Arab Northern Sudanese oppressors but when I began to correctly
identify the So-Called White Arabs as the Beja ,Dangoloway and
Mahas he relunctently acknowledged that the tribes were NOT” White
Arabs” but were Black Nubian and Cushitic Africans. In order to further
reinforce my point I asked the lecturer about Black African Southern
Sudanese tribes such as the Madi, KaKWA and Lugbarra who have a relatively
significant Muslim ratio amongst their perspective tribal populations.
(Idi Amin’s Father was a KaKwa and Mother was Lugbarra). He once again
reluctantly acknowledged that these ” Black African Muslims” were not
bothered by the invading Northern Nubian and Cushitic Muslims. On this
point I rested my case that the War in Darfur is not racial but religious in
nature. The truth of the matter is that European Christians and Jews are
interfering in Sudan and promoting division and war just as they did in
Rwanda. Incidentally after the European Christian promoted genocide
in Rwanda a number of Tutsis converted to Islam because of the fact
that they understood that the European Christian Churches were promoting
the killing and it was the Hutu Muslims who provided them with refuge.
The question is when the African Union sends more African warriors into
Somalia are they really being sent by African leaders or are they going to
fight and die for the European United Nations in reinforcing European
Christian and Jewish control and exploitation of Africa. Drive the Britsh
out of Zimbabwe and Nigeria. Free the Land and the Oil from the greedy
hands of European Christian Colonialists. Finally drive the European
United Nations out of Africa!
