Revelations 13:15 – “And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.”

The Turin Shroud – which is revered by many Christians as the burial cloth of Jesus Christ – has appeared for the first time on modern multimedia communication platforms.

Italy’s Rai TV broadcast for the first time images of the linen cloth bearing a faint brownish image of what appears to be a man’s body.

A digital online reproduction of the image was also created.

Pope Francis ordered the unveiling of the Shroud to the world.

The Shroud is supposed to be the cloth in which the dead or undead body of their Jesus deity was wrapped, and buried.

If you get the idea, it is a Mumbo/Hoodoo-like tool, beloved of necromatic sorcerers, deluding the world with rites and sleight of hand.

In a video message ahead of the exhibition, Pope Francis said: “It speaks to our heart.”

‘Revered Icon’

This image is one of the most worshipped images in the Roman Catholic world.

Its devotees were able to watch live images of the 1.21×4.42m Turin Shroud in a 90-minute programme on Rai TV from Turin Cathedral.

An app has been created to show digital icons of the cloth, so that followers can now have constant interaction with it.

False Icon – Unauthenticated

The BBC in Rome reported that the pontiff described the cloth as an “icon” or an image but was careful not to authenticate it as a genuine relic.

It is universally known that the Vatican has never officially recognised the shroud as authentic, but unofficially it has the status of their Jesus Deity embodied.

Rigorous scientific testing seems to indicate that it was a fake, which was woven between 700 and 800 years ago in Europe.

But diehard believers say other tests prove that it could have been made at the time of the crucifixion – give or take a couple of hundred years.

Rare Event

The Shroud is rarely ever shown in public, the last time being three years ago durning a brief visit to it by Pope Benedict.

The only previous – recorded – TV broadcast of the shroud was in 1973.

The Shroud has been kept in the northern Italian city of Turin for more than four centuries.

It was taken there by members of the former Italian and French Templar Knights, acting in conjuction with the royal house of Savoy.

The belief around it is that it had been brought to Europe from Palestine by returning Crusaders, among whom were the Templar knights or knights of Malta.

  1. If I were people, I would look into the fact that this piece of cloth is from the 14th century. I would also look into the book second messiah by Robert Lomas. That isn’t Jesus, that Jaques De Molay, when he was tortured by Phillip the Fair. Remember Jesus in the bible is discribed as Bronze skin ( Melanated ) and Wooly haired. You need to know!
