Today, Wednesday, August 17, 2011 is the 124th anniversary of Marcus Garvey birth in St. Ann, Jamaica

“Garvey campaigned against lynching, Jim Crow laws, denial of black voting rights and racial discrimination. Where UNIA differed from other civil rights organizations was on how the problem could be solved. Garvey doubted whether whites in the United States would ever agree to African Americans being treated as equals and argued for segregation rather than integration. Garvey suggested that African Americans should go and live in Africa. He wrote that he believed “in the principle of Europe for the Europeans, and Asia for the Asiatics” and “Africa for the Africans at home and abroad”.
Garvey began to sign up recruits who were willing to travel to Africa and “clear out the white invaders”. He formed an army, equipping them with uniforms and weapons. Garvey appealed to the new militant feelings of black that followed the end of the First World War and asked those African Americans who had been willing to fight for democracy in Europe to now join his army to fight for equal rights.”

Marcus Garvey must be part of the curricula in all schools in Afrika & diaspora.
Some of us in the Motherland only learned about him via reggae songs and had to search for who This Man is.
That is ridiculous: The whole History of Afrika/Black People as taught by orthodox/mainstream in primary to high school and even university .
For example, calling ancient “egypt” as a civilization of the “middle east” and not Kemet, a Black Civilization concieved, built & maintained by Black Afrikans till its peak must only be a purposeful error of omission.
Its amazing to realize that many Black people view “egypt” as the sinful place that enslaved Yahweh’s chosen people and even join in celebrating Pharoah getting struck by a series of plagues unleashed by this same (white )Yahweh.
What a joke!
This may have no bearing on this particular subject but I would like to know if there is any real data or history of the Judahites being of Negro ancestry and where can I locate this information?
I truly hope we can organize a international link that will expand Kemetic ancient, and modern HISTORY. We have obtained so much incorrect info from the European influenced countries as wells those who are supported by them. Its in our power to extend the knowledge.
